Your best family beach holiday – sun, surf and relaxation – is situated approximately 90 km south of Durban between Hiberdene and Port Shepstone. Umzumbe is known as the best kept secret of the Hibiscus Coast. Summer Place is situated directly on the main swimming beach, next to the well-renowned Pumula Beach Hotel.

We have four beach cottages; The Penthouse is beautifully decorated and there is a fully equipped kitchen, a large lounge that leads onto a balcony and two bedrooms with double beds. The main bedroom has a big bathroom. Lookout Cottage can sleep 12 guests in three bedrooms; two bedrooms have double beds and one bedroom has twin beds; and there are three bathrooms. There is a large fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast counter, an open-plan dining room, a lounge and its own private deck and gate onto the beach.

The Honeymoon Cottage can sleep four guests; there are two bedrooms with doubles beds and a lovely modern bathroom. There is a fully equipped kitchen with modern fittings and a big lounge area with large sliding doors that provides access to the beach. The Big Brother Cottage is a small cottage that sleeps two adults comfortably in a double bed and a sleeper couch. It is ultra-modern with a fully equipped kitchen, a lounge and the same accessibility to the beach and as the other units.

All necessary amenities are located directly on the property. Security is top-notch and there is ample parking available on site. Lifeguards are on duty throughout the year and shark nets protect the main swimming beach. The sea splash pool is always a huge favourite with the little ones. Summer Place is conveniently situated in the vicinity of several golf courses, with Umzumbe providing several water sport and recreational facilities as well.
