Where the booming breakers of the Indian Ocean relentlessly pound rocky shores, where temperate high forest and fynbos roll down to the sea in an unspoilt verdant carpet, where ancient rivers carve their paths to the ocean down rocky ravines. This "the place of much water", is the Tsitsikamma National Park. The heartland of the park stretches some 5 km to sea, protecting a wonderland of inter-tidal life, reef and deep-sea fish. Dolphins frolic in the breakers, surfing and playing for the sheer joy of life, and the gentle giant of the ocean, the southern right whale visits here, coming inshore to breed.

As always our impromptu visit to Storms River Mouth exceeded our expectation. This remains our favourite rest camp not only for its natural beauty and spectacular coastline, but also for the great walks, good food and restful feeling it gives you. It was wonderful to see so many foreign tourist enjoying this beautiful spot.

Very beautiful and the chalet was also good. Maybe they can look at TV as evenings might get bored. Restautant also very good and food quite nice.

Spectacular surrounds!! Huts and chalets well situated, and well built to fit in with, and maximise on beautiful scenery. Although we had to wait for our hut to be ready, it was clean. I found a lot of staff sitting around at the public facilities, ablutions and kitchen used by the campers and visitors which for me, does not promote a good image of the park: firstly, they should have their own facilitiies to accommodate their their staff needs; and secondly, one got the impression that they are permenently on breaks, even though this might not be the case! More importantly, there should be an estimation of the time it takes to get to the lookout from the suspension bridges and the severity of the walk to help prepare people. Folk were starting to walk up while we were coming down at about 16h30 which can be potentially dangerous in winter, and if you're not that fit!! Having done the Otter trail previously, we did have some clue.

The cabin facilities were brilliant and extremely clean. We sent one night in a cabin and one night camping and both were excellent.
