Description
Storms River is the Garden of the Garden Route in South Africa also known as Tsitsikamma, so named by the Khoi people and meaning Place of Many Waters. The Village Lodge and Flash-packers is located right in the middle of Storms River Village next to all amenities and across the road from the Adventure Centre. Situated in a large, tranquil garden setting with a magnificent mountain backdrop, you will find us on the cute village main street that leads into the Tsitsikamma Forest.
There are spacious grounds, very comfortable group accommodation units and family rooms, plus a farm-style communal kitchen equipped for all your self-catering needs, no travelling for showers as all accommodation units have en-suite bathrooms. Crystal clear borehole water and solar hot water heating are some of the standard Eco-friendly features.
Enjoy warm summer evenings and barbecues in the outside entertainment area, or winter warmth in the cosy lounge in front of a roaring log fire. Comfortable indoor and outdoor relaxation areas all combine to create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for guests. We have a pool table, honesty fridge and a communal DStv. This is adventure central with nearby activities such as bungee jumping, tree top canopy tours, zip-lining over roaring water falls, black water tubing, helicopter flips, horse riding, mountain biking, forest walking and swimming at Storms River Mouth. You can also visit the beauty spa after a long day of adventure.
We guarantee all travellers a quality hospitality experience that will stay with them for a very long time. We're on the Baz bus route, there's plenty of parking for the self-driven and all the village facilities are so close you can almost reach out and touch them. Step back in time and enjoy this historical village and its relaxed and friendly vibe whilst you soak up this special part of South Africa's Garden Route. Our title of Flash-packer denotes something a little special in accommodation for the informal traveller, so expect good things.
For those travelling the Otter Trail or Tsitsikamma Trail, this is the place to stay before and after your expedition. It is comfortable but inexpensive accommodation and secure parking for your car. For groups of up to six we can even offer transport to your start point and pick up from the finish point.
