Welcome to the Stonehouse Mountain Lodge, a unique stone and thatch getaway situated on 50 hectares overlooking the Hartbeespoort Dam and Magaliesberg mountains.

Guest may choose between the large Stone Lodge and the various cottages on the farm. Either way, you will receive absolute tranquility whilst in the lap of luxury.

We stayed in lodge number 11. I wouldn't call this luxury. To be luxurious it needs a spring cleaning and a lot of maintenance or actually a total revamp. Linen was short and worn. Kitchen is greasy/sticky. Lights not working. When did blankets, curtains, bad mats and furniture had a deep clean? There are no comfortable chairs. There are extension cords everywhere. It's not all bad, but definitely not value for money.

We had a wonderful time. The quiet and absolute privacy makes you switch off from the real-life haste and buzz the moment you drive through the stone entrance. The hearty welcome at reception made us feel very special. Our suite was beautiful.

When we walked into the Monkey house we were welcomed by a clean, well equipped house. My wife and kids were excited and immediately ran right through to the deck and had a look at the glistening pool. We needed for nothing and had a fantastic stay. The Webber braai was a bonus. I had allot of time to relax in the pool and on the deck. Thanks for providing an amazing place to relax, so close to Johannesburg. I would definitely recommend Stonehouse Mountain Lodge to anyone looking for an awesome getaway near Johannesburg.

We were a group of couples who wanted to spend quality time with our spouses & friends. The place is absolutely wonderful with breathtaking views. I would say we got value for our money and would definately recommend it to everyone.
