Centrally situated in "The Avenues" in the quiet residential suburb of Edenvale. Only ten minutes from O.R.Tambo International Airport, Stay-a-While is an ideal base from which to explore the city and surrounds, or as a launch for your South African adventure. We have created an atmosphere that makes our guests feel completely relaxed, whether on business or leisure.

The suites boast private, covered patios, some with private gardens. Three interlinked and landscaped properties centred around the oldest house in Edenvale. This historic house, built circa 1911 to 1916, has been lovingly restored. The steel pressed ceilings and wooden floors are a reminder of days gone by.

Accommodation

Stay-a-While guest house comprises ten suites, set in secure gardens with off street parking and with a large swimming pool for those sunny Highveld days. Our ten (one single room, seven double rooms and two family suites) well-appointed suites all have DStv, self- catering kitchenettes, clock radios and en-suite bathrooms with showers and/or baths, with private access and off street parking for all guests.

All suites have access to wireless internet as well as DStv. A fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and a courtesy tray with coffee, tea, sugar and creamers are available in each suite. The Sneech Suite is named after one of Edenvale's founders, the first Postmaster (in 1903) Harry Sneech and his wife. It is one of our double suites with a king size bed (or configured with twin single beds), separate lounge area with two wing back chairs, small table and dresser. There is a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster. There is an en-suite bathroom with bath and a stand-in-the-bath shower. This room will suit a couple sharing a king size bed or two singles in twin beds. There is a Victorian feel to the restored suite. It also has a small patio which faces northeast and enjoys the morning and afternoon sun.

I stayed in the Cape of Good Hope unit recently, on a week long business trip to Johannesburg. It was really lovely and suited my needs perfectly. The unit was kept spotless. I'll definitely use Stay-a-While again!

Very Comfortable and my room Kamberg, had everything that I needed especially when travelling with my 13 month old toddler. I liked the table and chairs outside your room, so you weren't confined only to your room, but could enjoy the lovely garden too.
