Stannards Guest Lodge recently reassessed and confirmed 4-Star Guest House, is located in a peaceful and leafy area on the Eastern outskirts in Knysna, 2 minutes away from the Lagoon and world-class golf courses, and 5 minutes from the famous Heads, town center and vibrant waterfront.

The four Standard and the two Superior bedrooms are tastefully decorated to a high standard, they have their own private entrance and patio overlooking the landscaped garden. Room facilities include DStv, fan, heater, tea tray and Wi-Fi. The two luxury self-catering garden cottages include spacious lounge with fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, flat screen LCD TV, I-pod docking station and safe.

Tasty and generous buffet-breakfasts can be enjoyed indoors or on the deck overlooking the garden and the large pool, prolific with bird life. “Afro-chic” lounge has a fireplace for chilly winter days and a little “boutique” for something different. Day trips to explore the Garden Route can be made so easily from this ideal base. And your hosts, Patrick and Helene-Marie, will always be available to share their local knowledge of the area and arrange bookings for activities and restaurants.

We ordered one night and stayed for 3. 2 adults and 3 kids - we had two rooms with private connecting corridor . The place is lovely . The design is amazing. The hosts where friendly and very helpful. We fully recommend !!!

Highly recommend this guest house, very comfortable. Patrick and Helene will do everything they can to assist you with their local knowledge, also try their home cooking, it is delicious. Would definitely stay again

Stannards Guest Lodge is absolutely wonderful. We had the pleasure to stay with Mike for a week. Mike is a marvellous host and the place is spotless. The rooms are lovely, garden, pool and terrace invite one to rest and relax. We will certainly recommend it to all our friends and acquaintances and when back in Knysna we will definitely only settle for Stannards.

We had a ball. Michael was an extremely friendly host. He introduced himself, showed us around and made us feel at home from the word go. Our room was perfectly arranged from having fresh clean linen to milk for our coffee. We loved the personal touches - having headaches ills, sanituary pads and earbuds - a first!!! Mosquitos were an issue...but we had Peaceful Sleep which was provided and you could get mats for the insect repellent - very smart!!! Breakfast was fresh and YUMM ... more
