St Lucia Wilds Flatlets

Description

The flatlets are part of one house, converted into three units. The owner lives in one unit. Each unit has its own entrance and no rooms are shared. The house is elevated with 6 steps to the only door with plank-flooring, carpeted and tiled floors. These flatlets have one bedroom each, ceiling fans and oscillating fans and television with SABC channels only. Each flat has a braai facility with garden furniture. The furnishings are simple, functional, neat and clean. Many of the original furnishing are still used such as the doors, handles, window openers and light switches etc.

The property is set in a tranquil garden with lots of plants, trees and wild garden. You can see vervet monkeys, tree squirrels, banded mongoose, red duiker, bushbuck and an abundance of birds. Hippo also comes to graze on the lawn occasional nights. Flatlet no. 4 has no view. Flatlet no. 5 is on the estuary side with a patched view of the water. All units share a communal path that leads to the swimming pool and big garden area on the estuary side. We have a shaded area next to the pool, wooden loungers to be used under the trees and table and chair in a quiet spot. There are bird feeders and water bowls. We are a Birder Friendly Establishment. Situated in the main street but away from the town buzz so it is peaceful and relaxing. We also have a special sink and bin for cleaning fish. The tree house with slide and child furniture provides many hours of fun for small children. The units are serviced once daily, we provide all bedding and linen as well as bath towels, kitchen swab and kitchen towels. The flatlets are an affordable option and very well equipped for self-catering. We are a perfect base for backpackers who require more privacy, single visitors, female visitors and visitors who want to stay longer than a few days. Also good for those concerned with conservation.

What to bring; food, toiletries, sunblock, wood/charcoal, flashlight, insect repellent. Climate; best months (very low humidity and wind) are May -June, winter. Windy months are Sept to Nov with hot days at medium humidity. Very humid and hot months are December to March (especially February.) Rainfall occurs all year, although usually more in the summer. Malaria-free area, no cholera, plant purified water, restaurants, food shops, coffee shops, pharmacy, internet shops, business centre shop and bureau de change. FNB bank other, ATM machines, butchery, post office and police station all nearby. We provide lots of information about the area so that you can have the best experience of is wonderful natural area we live in. Minimum stay is 2 nights. Visitor's register must be signed on arrival, our conditions of stay and cancellation policy apply to all. Regret we cannot allow pets of any kind. This is a non-smoking establishment inside all units.
