Boasting panoramic views, the flagship Singita Sasakwa Lodge is the only member of Relais and Chateaux in East Africa. The lodge emulates the style of a turn-of-the-century, East African ranch house, with 10 opulent suites offering spacious living and every convenience.

Singita Sasakwa Lodge is one of three Singita lodges in this enormous private concession of 340,000 acres, which means that you will have this wild stretch of Africa all to yourself. Sasakwa Lodge is built in the style of an Edwardian manor house featuring stone walls, deep verandas, high ceilings, stately furniture, silverware and ornamental pieces.

Each cottage boasts a private infinity swimming pool overlooking endless landscapes. The bedrooms offer inviting four-poster beds and they are beautifully appointed, displaying typical African influences with touches of wood, leather and grass alongside crisp linen, imported chandeliers and hand-crafted furniture. There is also wheelchair access to certain cottages.

Activities include spectacular Big 5 game-viewing and a state-of-the-art equestrian centre offering horseback safaris. Take part in archery, lawn croquet, stargazing safaris, mountain biking, and tennis. A balloon safari across the plains of the Serengeti can be arranged at an additional cost.
