Description

Silo Cottage is a lovely self-catering cottage beautifully located with the Umzimkhulu River a mere 100 m from the doorstep. As the name suggests, it was originally used as a silo to store grain, but after extensive renovations in 2001 it is now a stunning holiday cottage situated in the picturesque Bamboo mountain valley on a working beef and horse stud farm.

The cottage can comfortable accommodate up to six guests and comprises three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a kitchen, and a lounge area. The master bedroom contains a double bed and boasts an en-suite bathroom and a walk-in closet. The second bedroom contains a double bed and is located upstairs, in the silo section of the cottage and also features an en suite. This room boasts spectacular views of the berg, farmland and the river. The third bedroom contains twin single beds, and is located downstairs.

There is a comfortable lounge area with a TV with DStv capability, should you wish to bring your own smart card. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with a microwave, two fridge-freezers, and a walk-in pantry. The dining room is located off the kitchen and seats six comfortably at a large round table.

Enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the berg on the large social veranda, with sundowners and a braai as the sun sets. The garden offers ample space for the kids to explore and play. The cottage is serviced daily.
