Description
Shambani is a tropical garden of four acres on the coast of Kenya, at Diani Beach which is 30 km south of Mombasa. We have five cottages of different styles and sizes which are immersed in this garden of palms and bougainvilleas. It is close to the amazing beach of the Congo River Mosque and the forest of mangroves.
The property is absolutely safe, peaceful and clean. On your arrival at Shambani, you will find your charming cottage ready to welcome you. They are fully and elegantly furnished with fully equipped kitchens and fresh linen provided for your comfort.
The quoted price includes daily cleaning and laundry services, electricity, water and gas. For an even more comfortable holiday, we can provide you with a cook and do the first shop in order for you to find a full and inviting pantry on your arrival. Plan your journey from Mombasa Airport to Shambani and arrange for a rented car to wait at Shambani's, should you wish to have one at your disposal during your stay.
The 300 m walk which leads to the Indian Ocean opens up onto the enchanting white beach of the Mwachema River, framed by huge baobab trees. From there is possible to reach the coral reef or go up the river through the beautiful mangrove forest.
Within 3 km from Shambani, you can find different shopping centres, casinos, the 18-hole golf course, the Diving Centre, restaurants along Diani Road or the fashionable bars and discos on the beach, as well as several craft shops.

The villa faces one of the five bicentenary baobabs which adorn the Shambani gardens. From its terrace you can touch the baobab branches. The villa has three bedrooms. The sitting room on the ground floor opens onto the garden through four archways. There is also the living room with a table for 12 guests, the kitchen with its own entrance and there are two bedrooms with private bathrooms. On the first floor there is the third bedroom and bathroom, and there is an indoor sitting room and a terrace with an outdoor sitting room. From this terrace it is possible to reach an upper terrace that overlooks the whole area of Diani as far as the Shimba Hills.

The villa is a construction with two bedrooms and there are big windows on both sides of the house which provide a relaxing view over the gardens. The sitting room on the ground floor is connected to the living room, the kitchen with its own entrance and the bedroom with a private bathroom. The second bedroom is on the first floor and it offers a private bathroom. There is a terrace and an open sitting room from which the garden panorama and the breeze from the sea can be enjoyed. Stairs lead to the top terrace on the roof where there is a view of the green palmas which adorn Shambani and the fire-red colours of the flamboyants.

The cottage is built at the foot of an amazing ficus banjamin whose shade covers it. Kidogo has a bedroom with a king-size bed and a bathroom with a shower. There is a kitchenette and a sitting area, as well as a view on all four sides of the house. It is extremely comfortable and offers a single room perfect for short stays. It is often used as a guest house for the guests of other cottages who prefer to have an additional room. Its closeness to Baobab Villa and Flamboyant Villa make this cottage particularly adaptable for the use of the customers accommodated in these villas.

These are twin cottages built in the traditional African style. The cottages have two bedrooms with private bathrooms. On the ground floor there is a verandah with a living room and a sitting room that faces the kitchen. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor and the second bedroom is on the first floor. Twiga Cottage is situated above the garden and it comprises two units connected to each other by a makuti roof. The main structure is the bedroom with a bathroom, kitchenette and indoor sitting area. The bedroom has windows on all the four sides allowing excellent ventilation and full views in every direction. Going down a few steps is the second structure used as the living area. It is a beautiful verandah that is completely open on all four sides and covered with the makuti roof. There is an unlimited view over the garden and the extensive coloured bougainvillea. The living room has a table for four people and is close to the kitchenette, while the two comfortable ethnic sofas permit a relaxing view of the sunset.
