Description

Blythedale Beach is situated just 40 minutes North of Durban. A Seaside village which is between two estuaries, creating a beautiful Bay where dolphins and whales can be seen playing. The lagoon, which falls within the Umvoti conservancy, provides an abundance of bird life. The region is blessed with an all-round summer, which places no limits on timing. We are 3 km south of the main beach.

The beach is child friendly with shark nets and lifeguards in season. Blythedale Beach has a very low crime rate due to our 24-hour security in our village. G4S Security administers this. There is a Convenience store, Bottle store and Restaurant within walking distance. Excellent shopping is available in Ballito 20 km South, Gateway Theatre of shopping, the largest shopping complex in the southern hemisphere, lies on the outskirts of Umhlanga Rocks 30 km South. A must see in Durban is the Ushaka Marine World and the Umgeni River Bird Park.

For the Golfer there are five outstanding golf courses within 20 km radius. Darnal 9 holes, Princes’ Grant 18 holes, Umhlali Country Club 18 holes, all 3 within 7 km, Zimbali 18 holes and Maidstone country club 9 holes within 20 km.

Sea cove Lodge has three self-catering apartments. Each can accommodate two adults and two children in an open plan apartment. The kitchen, lounge, dining area is open plan, which flows onto a balcony, percale linen and towels. Kitchen is equipped with a bar fridge, electric frying pan, kettle, toaster and cutlery and fans available.TV with DStv decoders limited channels, please bring your own DStv smart card to view full DStv. Facilities includes private entrance, 24 hour security, beach, sand and sea 600m, braai facilities, secure parking on site and no pets allowed.
