Sea Cliff Resort and Spa is a beautiful resort located on the West Coast of the exotic island of Zanzibar, just 20 minutes from the historical town of Stone Town. Driving into Sea Cliff Resort and Spa, you will know that you have found something special; the 4 km road through a coconut plantation that leads to the hotel is a reminder of the Zanzibar of old. Peace and tranquility, no other hotels or busy roads, just open space and palm trees.

As you enter the courtyard filled with tropical flowers and palms, the view of the ocean stands before you. With our traditional makuti roofs and Arabic towers lit by brass lights, you know this is not a typical hotel. It is a hotel built with our location in mind; a unique combination of modern facilities mixed with the original exotic architecture of historical Zanzibar. The decorative natural colour scheme of creams and golds are complemented by all the antique furniture that has been specially sourced to show the culture, the history, and the influences that make Zanzibar so unique.

The hotel is situated on a cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean and offers panoramic views from the lounge, restaurant, bar, and even the recreation area. Enjoy breakfast overlooking the ocean, have dinner under the stars or a sundowner on the jetty - the choice is yours. Most of our rooms offer panoramic ocean views from the bedrooms and private balconies, allowing guests to sit and watch the dhows sail past or enjoy the sunset from the comfort of their room.

The hotel offers a number of activities for the more energetic guests, including a fully equipped gym, a water sports centre, two tennis courts, a squash court and bicycles. For our guests that are looking to relax and rejuvenate, we offer a five-treatment room main spa overlooking the ocean. We also have walking trails through the coconut plantation and viewing decks along the cliff.

From walking on the beach to windsurfing, the Sea Cliff Resort and Spa offers something for everyone. With our close location to Stone Town we are the ideal base from which to explore this incredible World Heritage Site.
