We definitely enjoyed our stay at the Saxon Lodge. They were very warm, welcoming and helpful folks - they even helped us arrange for our Great White Shark diving! The room was very nice. The town doesn't have much, and we wouldn't have stayed there if not for the shark diving, so wouldn't recommend Gansbay to those not diving with the sharks. This place is marvellous. We were welcomed so warmly despite the lateness of the hour getting there and nothing was too much trouble. The suite was so comfortable, a real home from home.

Description
4-Star Guest Lodge, overlooking a traditional fishing harbour with panoramic views across Walker Bay to Hermanus and the Cape Point.
Choice of Luxury Suites with bedroom and full en-suite bathroom, own private lounge and view verandah, with sea and harbour views - or - Comfortable Standard Rooms with en-suite showers but no sea views.
All suites are equipped with colour TV, telephones with internet connections, electric blankets, radio alarm clocks, wall safes, hair dryers, over head fans and heaters. They also have tea/coffee making facilities, top quality linen, gowns and luxurious toiletries. Same day laundry service is available. Saxon Lodge is a registered Bureau de Change and we accept most credit cards.
Excellent cuisine in our fully licensed residents' restaurant with stone fireplace and original art. Plus we have a sun room, where we serve breakfasts and dinners in summer.
Our well stocked pub with a yachting theme is a winner with guests!
