Sangasava is a small self-catering bush lodge that offers clean and well maintained, comfortable, above average accommodation at an affordable price. You can find this piece of heaven on the northern bank of the Olifants River within the Balule Nature Reserve approximately 45 kilometres from Hoedspruit and an hour’s drive from the Kruger National Park's, Phalaborwa Gate.

Balule Nature Reserve is part of the Greater Kruger National Park, a combined unfenced area of 3.6 million hectares where wildlife freely roams.

Sangasava has only two units, each sleeping six people, making the camp small and intimate. Make the most of your stay at Sangasava by booking out the entire camp making it exclusively yours. Please contact us for a special daily camp rate.

The quite bush ambience together with the sound of the river as it slowly meanders by, makes it the idyllic setting as therapy to rejuvenate your mind, body and soul.

Sangasava is ideal to explore the surrounding area or take day trips into the Kruger National Park. Alternatively, you can just sit and relax, watching the wildlife along the river.

Sangasava has the recipe to provide that long needed breakaway from the hardships of everyday city life; you just need to add a few ingredients you, clothes, food and liquid refreshments.

You start your stay with a warm friendly welcome. Eden is the only way to describe the location - peace and tranquillity abound - revival of the soul. If you sit quietly you may even meet a bushveld fairy playing in the grass. I recommend this to everyone.

How could you improve on elephants grazing in front of your dinner, and lions roaring in the distance as you went to sleep? Fully-equipped house, perfect for the naturalist with books galore and knowledgeable hosts. Absolute serenity, nature all to yourself. So happy to know that this reserve is now contiguous with the Kruger park. Best place we stayed, and only wish we could have stayed for a week!
