What a fantastic place to stay! -

We visited Winterton in April and we loved every minute of our stay at The Rose and Rooster. Both accommodation and our host Stefan were great! The rooms are spacious and decorated with care.
Stefan cooks tasteful breakfasts and dinners.
From Winterton you can visit Central Drakensberg. We especially enjoyed the display at Falcon Ridge and a trip to Giant's Castle.

Up market accomodation in the central Drakensberg and close to the Spionkop battlefields route. The Lodge is a perfect romantic weekend retreat with four rooms all en-suite. Two executive rooms with shower and bath ideally for honeymoon couples.
A beautiful park-like garden with the sound of flowing water and birds mesmerizing you. The Lodge has a fully operational restaurant that offers fine dining at its best. Sundowners could be enjoyed at the bar or for a wine tasting experience in the wine cellar. Should you feel like cooling down you could relax in the rock pool.
