Rooiheuwel offers various self-catering units. Two Farm Houses with four bedrooms each sleeping 12 in each of them, one Cottage with one bedroom,an open-plan kitchen and one Sheperd's Kilphuis with one bedroom and kitchen. This establishment is pet friendly. Rooiheuwel is situated submontane of the Nuveld Mountains in the Great Karoo, 80km west of Beaufort West and 60km north of Leeu Gamka. In this mountained topography you can refresh yourself with the many options and breakaway opportunities as a family after the humdrum of everyday in a relaxing and safe environment to enjoy and resume each other. Our farm is the ideal place for a quiet weekend away, to explore the natural beauty of the Great Karoo.
In addition to the sheep and game there is also an exotic bird collection. The famous Karoo lamb and boerewors can be ordered for the duration of your stay or to take home. Firewood is available. Come and let your children experience real farm life, without cell phones or TV and have peace for your soul. We can assure you that no one will return home untouched after a karoofarm holiday. Each house has 4 bedrooms
3 rooms with 1 double - and 2 single beds
1 room with 2 – 3 single beds
1 bathroom and separate shower, Middelplaas has an outdoor shower.
Dining rooms and lounges
A kitchen with a gas-stove, fridge and a freezer. You can also pitch a tent at the camping site at Boplaas

It is a place for those who wants to shower outside, bath in a zink bath, wash your clothes outside and enjoy this primitive lifestyle. The original shepherds kliphuis has 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, as well as a sleepercoach in the lounge
