Description
Roggeland Country House is an exclusive hotel, accommodating only 21 people in spacious Cape-style bedrooms with sizeable en-suite bathrooms. Guests are treated to wine and cuisine carefully selected for each day, reflecting the produce of the region.
An eighteenth-century Cape Dutch masterpiece, the farmhouse of Roggeland is a national monument. Ringed by the blue purple Drakenstein mountains, Roggeland Country House is situated in the Dal Josaphat Valley, just north-east of the town of Paarl. It is an hour's drive from Cape Town and 45 minutes from the international airport.
Rates include : Dinner, bed and breakfast, teas and coffee. Dinner includes : Pre-dinner wine testing with olives, a 4-course dinner with a different wind with each course. VAT and tourism levy is included in the rates.
Rates exclude : Telephone, transfers, bar, lunches, laundry and other items of personal nature are excluded in the rates.
Children : Children welcome subject to prior arrangement by management. Baby sitting services available on request. Children's menu available. No children under the age of 10 years will be allowed in the Dining Room for dinner in the evening.

Each of the spacious bedrooms has a unique character. Every room has a large double bed, or optional twin beds, and an en-suite bathroom. All have 'riempie' reed ceilings and deep casement windows with wooden shutters.
Handmade linen, down duvets and the gentle whirr of ceiling fans all conspire to bring about a deep and restful sleep. Rise as early or as late as you please to the aroma of fresh filter coffee.
