Description

Rocky Pool Guest Cottage is situated on the Durban lower South Coast, with picturesque views. We are within 1 km walking distance to the nearest beach and shops. There are also two protected main beaches close by and the nearest shopping centres are within 2 to 3 km. The main Arbor Crossing shopping centre and the new Galleria centre has lots of shops, movie entertainment, an ice-skating rink, tenpin bowling, entertainment and restaurants. This will be the biggest shopping centre in the southern hemisphere and is only about 9 km away.

The cottage is a log-style cottage that sleeps four guests comfortably. A large patio extends from the lounge over the crystal blue rock pool, set in a tropical garden setting and surrounded by lush vegetation. The cottage offers privacy and tranquility, with use of the entertainment area, bar area, braai facilities, pool, swings, and a trampoline for the kids. The pool has a heater, not to make the pool hot but the take the chill off, especially in winter.

This cottage is styled with log furniture, a wood paneled interior, with a TV, Hi-Fi and DStv facilities. If you have a smart card and it is compatible with a 990 or 910 decoder, which is the older type, you can connect, or if you only have the latest decoder you can also bring it with and connect. The cottage has an open-plan kitchen with a bar counter for the occasional sundowner, also equipped with appliances, stove, microwave, kitchen utensils and cutlery. The main bedroom has a double bed, with a semi en-suite bathroom and separate doors from either the bedroom or the lounge. The bathroom has a shower, basin and toilet.

The cottage has scenic views of the surrounding area and panoramic views of the ocean, not to mention the spectacular birdlife such as peacocks, Yellow Billed Kite Hawks, guinea fowl and various other small birds, including the Proverbial Hadeda. Remember to bring your binoculars. The cottage has secure parking for one vehicle and we offer transport to and from the new King Shaka Airport on request, at a nominal fee.
