River Running

The cottage we stayed in this past weekend could be described as rustic or plain. There were a few issues we had but on the whole we made the most of the weekend with what we had, and a positive attitude. Hogsback is a lovely little town but we expected more of the place we stayed at, which in part is good advertising, or over sell. firstly we couldn't find the place because there are no signs to it or even outside! Then there were no towels so a couple we were with had to share with us, a small thing but makes it so much better. The kitchen says it is stocked but it is missing some standerd things like a chopping board and a few salad bowls or mixing bowls. On the upside, the wood and the fireplace were great and a comfort in the cold. The plumbing also needs some work, especially to fill the cistern and bath the water should be pressured or gravity fed from a high resevoir. We enjoyed the place but we expected more and were a little disappointed with what we got in comparison.
