Description

About three hours’ drive from Cape Town and about two and a half hours' from Springbok, lies River Lodge Vredendal, the breakaway paradise in the heart of the Olifantsriver Valley. It must be the combination of popular South African country food, spectacular gardens, wonderful facilities, relaxing accommodation, friendly staff, and exquisite views of the surrounding mountains that make River Lodge a unique and much-loved destination for so many tourists, families, and many more from far-flung places.

River Lodge comprises 10 self-catering thatched roof chalets, six with double beds and four with single beds. All the chalets are air-conditioned, but for those who still feel the need to cool down further, a large swimming pool is also available. For those who prefer being served, breakfast is available in the dining room, with lunch and dinner available in the nearby restaurants. For a more down-to-earth occasion, a lapa with an indigenous flavour is available, particularly for private functions.
