Description

River Crossing is set on 100 acres of land with magnificent, panoramic views of the lush farmlands of the Champagne Valley, Cathkin Peak and Champagne Castle.

We have four villas with stylish, luxurious and romantic décor. Three villas have four bedrooms each and one has two bedrooms, totalling 14 bedrooms; three bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, and one villa has a shower and bath in the bedroom. The villas can be rented as a whole, some as individual rooms and some as one, two or three-bedroom units; each unit has its own open-plan lounge, dining area and kitchenette. Guests have access to a swimming pool and can enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the mountains.

Situated in the Central Drakensberg, which forms part of a World Heritage Site, River Crossing is bounded by both the Mtoti and the Sterkspruit rivers. Local, frequently spotted reedbuck and duiker take their refuge in the surrounding riverine vegetation.

Honeymoon Romance: Our bedrooms are romantically decorated and the honeymoon units include own cosy lounge/dinette/kitchenette and either a bath or a shower.

Outstanding Views: We have guests from all over the world who comment on our spectacular panoramic and unspoiled view of lush farmlands of the Champagne Valley with Champagne Castle and Cathkin Peak in view, often snow capped.

I have just spent a lovely weekend at River Crossing and I was blown away by its beauty and peaceful atmosphere. The service that we received made me feel Welcome and I did not want to leave. Fantastic location to relax and unwind. The views across the mountains are spectacular. Michelle and Ernest are great hosts and really made us feel so relaxed during our stay. The accommodation is very comfortable and has all amenities you could hope for. The breakfast is fantastic also.
