Wonderful resting place for the soul. -

The Red Stone Hills was utterly charming and quirky a delightful place to escape. The scenery is awesome and Petro was a great help in dropping us off for the hike over the hills and very knowledgeable. The arranged supper was terrific and could have fed a family of four not just us two. I would very much recommend that Mosquito nets be put in all bedrooms. All in all a wonderful resting place for the soul.

Fabulous stay -

We had a fabulous stay and our host was absolutely wonderful, and incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. There was so much for the children to do, and they LOVED interacting with the farm animals. Our cottage was over 100 years old and the furniture was authentic which was such a nice touch, we have recommended Red Stone Hills to our friends and family as we were so impressed by it.

The location of Red Stone Hills was fabulous. An idyllic spot far enough away from the crowds, but close enough to all the sites of Oudtshoorn.
The cottage was immaculate and had everything we needed.
Petra was very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our morning hike, and watching the sunrise over the farm.

Red Stone Hills is a productive farm situated at the foot of the Swartberg Mountains where traditional witblitz and raisins are still produced as well as ostriches, cattle, sheep, tobacco and vineyards.
A scenic, circular route links this farm to the Cango caves and other attractions.
Self contained cottages, circa 1880, with spectacular views, nestle in a valley of vineyards, surrounded by a range of colourful red stone hills, displaying there own natural windows.
Antiques, TV, fireplace, fully equipped kitchens, barbeque facilities, portable air conditioners, he...
