Red Stone hills is situated on the Route 62, between Oudtshoorn and Calitzdorp. The turnoff is 30 km from Oudtshoorn and 13 km from Calitzdorp.  Follow the Kruisrivier turnoff for 7 km until you reach a red rock entrance gate with green lights!  8 renovated cottages nestle in a valley of vineyards, surrounded by colourful red stone hills, displaying their own natural windows. Accommodation vary from authentic to luxury !  Units  consists of bathrooms [shower/bath], DSTV, portable air conditioners, open hearths for indoor barbecue / fireplaces, fully equipped kitchens. Cottages are 120 m apart [Except Hanepoot and Vineyard]. Guests are assured of total privacy and tranquil surroundings. Spectacular views of the red stone hills, vineyards and the river. A scenic , circular route links our farm with the Swartberg pass, Cango Caves and the Cango wildlife ranch. We offer horse-riding [pony] , bird watching [206 species], swimming in pool or river, rock art, hiking and walking trails viewing small mammals, antelope, fynbos and succulents! Paradise for children and artists! We farm ostriches, cattle, sheep, lucern and vineyards. Children are welcome to join tractor rides in the mornings while feeding the animals! Field courses offered on specific dates on fossils, geology and botanical walks. Special rates during low season on a minimum of a two night stay [ reduced by 30%]. MEALS: BREAKFAST: 1.
