Description

Only an hour’s drive from Cape Town, Betty’s Bay is a picturesque seaside village situated along the scenic Clarence Drive Route-R44 between Pringle Bay and Kleinmond.

Only two rows back from the sea and a short walk from the main beach of Betty's Bay, you will find Red Pepper Cottage. The cottage offers four en-suite bedrooms and is furnished with twin or double beds. The main bedroom also has a balcony that looks over lovely sea views. Duvet inners are provided and linen and towels are available at an additional fee should guests not to bring their own.

The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, a toaster, a kettle, an oven and a fridge-freezer. Guests can also make use of the provided washing machine. The open-plan lounge is equipped with a TV with a DVD player. To access DStv, please bring your decoder and smart card.

Guests can enjoy various water sports in the area or visit various tourist attractions. The penguin colony at Stony Point is one of four mainland colonies in South Africa and was declared a municipal nature reserve in July 2002.

For the golfers, the Arabella Golf Club outside Kleinmond offers an 18-hole course and borders the largest natural lagoon in South Africa. The 9th-hole, 17th-hole and 18th-hole run parallel to the lagoon.

For birdwatchers and plant lovers the Harold Porter National Botanical Garden is situated on 10 hectares of a cultivated fynbos garden, and a further 190 hectares of natural fynbos to gratify the visitor. 60 Species of bird, including the Cape sugarbird and the orange breasted sunbird, can be seen here.
