Description

Little more than a 40 minute drive out from the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg city life, find yourself in the nearby peace and tranquil surroundings of the Vaal Meander. The Meander features craft factories, outdoor adventure centres, entertainment, animal viewing, sporting facilities, boating. Some of the main attractions can be found along the Vaal River which features 56 km of navigable water and is a great venue for water sports.

This self-catering establishment is situated in the hub of the Vaal and all its major activities. Izak Steyl sports stadium, Vaal University of Technology, Vaal Pukke, Stonehaven and Emerald Casino amongst others.

Emerald Casino and Entertainment Centre, offers game drives and a total wildlife experience. Enjoy a meal at one of the variety of restaurants and entertainment venues. You can take a sunset cruise on one of the many barges on the river and view the many stunning houses. Launch your own boat to ski, tube or wake board. Braai facilities and boma are available on the river banks. The lapa can be used at an additional cost by prior arrangement. Stand on the bank or jetty and catch one of the many species of fresh water fish, or just simply enjoy a swim in the river or pool.

This garden facing cottage has full kitchen facilities, en-suite bathrooms and is totally separated from the house. Plenty secure parking for your vehicles. The main bedroom is fitted with four single beds and the second room with four single beds. Various areas with braai facilities are available. Day visitors are charged for at R 50 per person payable from age 6. A breakage deposit, payable prior to your arrival, R500 for the unit with a maximum of R800 if various units are booked.
