Description

Rametsi Eco Game Farm is a unique game reserve providing the perfect unforgettable family holiday experience, with a wealth of bird and game viewing. The Lyndleyspoort Dam, situated on our reserve, offers unsurpassed beauty and tranquility for nature lovers and fishermen. Rametsi Lodge is situated in the scenic Lyndleyspoort Valley, only 2 hrs drive from Gauteng, 60 km from Sun City, and 90 km from Rustenburg.

Rametsi offers exclusivity bookings for private groups. The camping and caravan sites share a lapa with a braai area and a fireplace. Enjoy a crackling bushveld fire whilst unwinding.

All accommodation is provided on a self-catering basis, with bedding supplied and apartments serviced daily. Laundry services are available on request. Home-style meals can be provided, at additional cost per person on prior arrangements for groups of up to ten people.

Also on offer are various activities like volleyball, mountain biking, fishing, canoeing, hiking, birdwatching and 4x4 tours. Conference facilities and equipment for weddings and functions are also available.

The Old Farmhouse is divided into six separate units. All units have portable fans, but no air conditioners. Heaters are available in winter. Old Farmhouse Units all have crockery, cutlery, linen, towels, microwaves, electric frying pans, two-plate stoves, pots and large fridges.

The six thatched cottages all have crockery, cutlery, linen, towels, microwaves, electric frying pans, pots and fridges. There are stoves and oven combo's in two units and two-plate stoves in the other four units. All units have thatched roofs with open-plan bedrooms and kitchen areas. There is a double bed and a single bed in each unit. Each unit has a bathroom with bath, toilet and basin. The patios provide braai facilities.

Relaxing environment tainted by rowdy campers

Management is friendly (thank you Willie) and helpful. Amenities are basic but in good working order. Lovely bushveld atmosphere, however, other campers tend not to adhere to big signs asking them to please keep the noise down (music, loud conversations, etc), which removed our experience from great to good. Every night the jackals called beutifully, but we could hardly hear them.
