Facilities

Pyramids Motel is located on the N3 at Van Reenen's Pass between Gauteng and the Kwa-Zulu Natal coast. The motel offers bed and breakfast accommodation in 16 chalets and three double rooms.

The chalets are all equipped to sleep four people and tea and coffee-making facilities and all linen and towels are provided. The motel offers a restaurant, conference facilities, braai facilities and a bar. Enjoy magnificent views of the majestic Drakensberg range.

The Pyramids Motel is also the base of trip organizers, 'Wildebeest Expeditions', and 4 X 4 and quad biking expeditions can also be arranged.

We enjoyed our stay @ Pyramids Motel, the steaks were made to perfection and I will recommend it to anyone, however the check out was a bit late. Office hours indicated were from 6 - 22hrs but we had to wait until 7 o'clock before we could depart. Must admit it could have been because of the thunderstorm experienced during the night. Overall experience: can recommend the establishment.

The personnel are friendly, and helpful, the rooms neat and very clean, and the linen fresh. The surroundings are beautiful, and you soon get used to the sound of traffic on the N3. We did not make use of the restaurant, except for their tea and coffee (which was complimentary). Insects were a bit of a problem during the evening, but there is not a lot the Motel staff can do about that.

Clean and comfertable. Good overnight stay however the option for self catering should be given. The serving of food take hours if they are busy. Noisy from N3.
