Family room has two double bed which didn't have much room left for two young kids to play around. However, the lagoon view from the room balcony was spectacular.Breakfast offered a variety of options for all. But no lunch or dinner served in the hotel. However, you can choose from numerous restaurants at the Waterfront which is seconds away from hotel. Most staffs were friendly and services are pretty good. Both kids had great time in the hotel pool with other visitors' children.Would I visit again? Yes.

We were en route from Grahamstown to Cape Town. Knysna provided a scenic break in the journey. Hotel very comfortable and efficient. The staff work hard to keep it so clean and nice with the amount of traveling going through.

The perfect stopover between Shamwari and Franschhoek, the Protea is ideally positioned for a quality evening overlooking the Quays. Great breakfast too!
