Description

Prospect Self-catering Cottage is nestled in the mountains of Barkly East. The cottage can accommodate seven guests comfortably.

The accommodation is neat and tidy and had recently been renovated. Each room has its own heater and electric blankets on the beds. A Jetmaster fireplace serves as a welcome respite from the winter chill and the icy southeaster in summer. The cottage is set in beautiful, tranquil surroundings and is frequented by baboons. We are also blessed with a breeding pair of Black eagles in the cliffs nearby. We are often visited by vultures and guests might delight in an occasional sighting of the majestic bearded vulture of Lammergeyer - a shy, elusive bird.

We are close to town which makes it easy for guests to enjoy meals at one of the various pubs and restaurants. Sproting activities in the area include squash courts and golfing. There are a few grocery stores where guests can stock up and many other shops in town for you to enjoy. Explore Rock Art Sites and the Swart Historical Art Gallery, a great opportunity to meet the talented artist, Sarah Swart.
