Facilities

Praia de Peixe is situated only a few kilometres along the coast to the north of Maputo in the quiet little village of Macaneta Beach. Boasting some of the safest beaches in Mozambique with the warm crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean and miles of untouched beach. You have arrived at your own piece of paradise with your shaded campsite only mere meters from the beach.

Welcome to Praia de Peixe, our diligent and friendly Mozambique staff will assist you with all your camping needs at one of our 18 large campsites, five chalets or two tented chalets. We are proud of our reputation as a malaria incident-free area and strive to keep it this way with a daily extermination. The ablution facilities are of the highest standard and have an abundance of hot and cold water. 220v Electricity is available through-out the resort.

The sky is the limit with the abundance of water sport activities such as snorkelling at the Inhaca, Santa Maria and Portuguese Islands. Quad bikes are welcome at Praia de Peixe and there are ample dunes and trails for quads and 4x4s close to the camp. For the 4x4 enthusiasts, Macaneta Beach can only be reached with a four-wheel drive vehicle.

Stephan, the owner is a very nice and helpful fellow. The only problem we had was getting there. One needs a 4x4 to get from the other side of the ferry to the resort. I don't have a 4x4, so Stephan came and fetched as and took us back to the resort. Often!
