Facilities

Port o Call is a lovingly restored old homestead situated on the West Bank of Port Alfred. Come and enjoy our personalized attention and warm hospitality, and experience a holiday you deserve.

We offer four beautifully furnished double en-suite rooms, fully equipped private entrances. Our cosy living room with crackling log fire is the ideal setting to unwind in winter. In summer enjoy sundowners on the large veranda Alternatively just relax at the endless unspoilt beaches or chill around the braai/barbecue area.

A full South African breakfast is our specialty. Dinner will be catered for with prior arrangement. You will love the freshly smoked fish, Nico's special. You will find yourself 150 m from the Royal Port Alfred Golf Club. Children of age 12 and over are charged as adults. Please note that we do welcome pets.

I did not get to spend a single night at Port o Call let alone get to see the establishment. On the day that I was supposed to be arriving I was told an hour prior that the establishment was fully booked for 7 months, after having taken a deposit from me. I was pawwed off to another establishment without my consent, where I felt I would have gotten better value for money had I been given an opportunity to search for accomodation to my specification. Definitely wont be seeing my business ever. You do not take money from peoples accounts if you cannot deliver the services. I was not desperate and could easily have found my own place to stay.

We had a lovely time in Port Alfred and were thoroughly impressed with our accommodation. Sophisticated and elegant decor with a cosy feeling. The rooms were equipt with all the essentials, to make our stay comfortable and easy.It is definately a step or two above the basic. The staff are very friendly and always on call. There are no complaints at all and we would definately stay there again.

The rooms are nice, and the people and dogs are all very friendly and welcoming. The dogs adopted our kids as their own. The owner came and checked on us regularly and chatted to us quite a lot.
