Description
Pondokkie is situated in the tranquil little village of Suiderstrand which is located in the Agulhas National Park. The village is 5 km from the historic lighthouse, which is at the most southern tip of Africa where the Atlantic and Indian oceans meet.
The self-catering cottage can sleep four guests. The Cottage comprises two bedrooms, one bathroom, a living area with an inside fireplace and an outside barbecue area. One of the bedrooms is an attic room. The lounge area has a sleeper couch for two extra guests if required.
An outside room is available for larger groups. The Room sleeps two adults and two children, and it consists of a double bed and a sleeper couch. The room has its own separate bathroom. There is also a separate flat on the property with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and an inside barbecue. The flat has a sleeper couch in the lounge which is ideal for two young children.
The proprty is 250 m from the sea which boasts a pebble beach, and 800 m from a beautiful lagoon. Suiderstrand has no TV reception but a DVD player is available and DVD rentals are in Struisbaai. There is limited cellphone reception except for Vodacom.
Visit the quaint little restaurant in the lighthouse, or experience the longest uninterrupted sand beach in the Southern Hemisphere at Struisbaai, which also boasts a colourful fisherman's harbour. Chartered boat trips and kayaking are available. This is a nature lover's paradise with seasonal whale watching and many nature trails to choose from. Other activities in the area include horse riding, surfing, kitesurfing, angling, 4x4 vehicle trips and bowls.

Character: The cottage is rustic and natural and the flat has a beach cottage feel to it.
Location: Nature lovers would enjoy the surrounding fynbos. Large groups of family and friends would enjoy the relaxation and space.
