Description

Originally set up as a base for early police officials to control the cannibal tribe that lived in the area at the time, this building is still standing with its original material and has all its original attributes.

Situated four kilometres outside of Clarens, this cottage is close to the town, and a short drive on a gravel road makes sedan access possible. A self-catering, two-bedroom cottage that sleeps four, with a fully-equipped kitchen and an indoor fireplace. Linen and towels are provided. There is also an outside braai.

Please note that the guest house is set on a working farm. Activities on the property include fly fishing on 9 kilometres of the little Caledon river, day walks and bird watching. Activities in the area are numerous, including mountain biking, horse rides, white water rafting, quad biking, bushman art viewing, and much more. There are various famous and historical sites in the area, as well as the Clarens Golf course situated within 3 kilometres and the Golden Gate national park within twenty five kilometres.
