Plett River Lodge

Plett River Lodge is a stunning guest house situated on the banks of the Bitou River. It is a mere 5 km from Plettenberg Bay and it is one of the top holiday destinations on the beautiful Garden Route. Set within private tree-lined gardens with unobstructed river frontage, Plett River Lodge offers luxury accommodation for discerning guests who want a relaxed holiday.

Plett River Lodge offers comfortable accommodation in nine spacious en-suite rooms. We have three Double Rooms, three Twin Rooms and three Family Rooms. Beautifully yet simply decorated in a rustic, contemporary style with cement floors, woven-coir rugs, neutral colours and warm fabrics; each room offers a luxury en-suite bathroom with a bath, shower and double vanities. Rooms are airy and light with large windows showing panoramic vistas of the Bitou River or the estate gardens. Each room has a dressing table, television and panel heater. Six of the rooms open through double doors onto the viewing deck, which overlooks the Bitou River. Each of these rooms has a private section of covered deck, as well as a comfortable seating area under a reed roof. The Family Rooms offer either twin beds or a sleeper couch for two children under 12. Cots are available on request.

Witness an exquisite morning sunrise over the Bitou River and listen to the sound of a fish eagle calling in the distance. Keep your binoculars close by to identify the prolific birdlife as you savour a Continental breakfast on the vast deck, which extends over the river. At sunset, unwind with a glass of wine on the deck or in the comfortable lounge, where guests are encouraged to make themselves at home. Tea and coffee-making facilities are available all day in the guest lounge, where there is also an honesty bar. We welcome children and have provided swings and a jungle gym for them in the garden. Our friendly, experienced staff will babysit for you, should you wish to enjoy an evening out on your own.
