Description
Located in the historic town of Bathurst, this 180-year-old pub, restaurant and hotel is believed to be the oldest continuously operating pub in South Africa and is a National Monument.
The Pig & Whistle Inn has 10 beautifully restored rooms and is a blend of historic ambiance and modern facilities. There are four en-suite rooms and six traditional, old-fashioned rooms with communal bathrooms.
Owned by Lucille and Gavin Came, the inn is renowned for its food and Old World charm. Generations of visitors, harking back to Lord Charles Somerset, can say "I've had a swig at the Pig".
