Facilities

Phumula by the Sea is an upmarket B&B in Desainagar, near Ballito on the North Coast and across the road from the sea on the Dolphin Coast. Tongaat Beach is a small seaside town with a lovely sandy beach and the warm Indian Ocean.

We have one spacious Bedroom with a double bed and en-suite bathroom, and two Bedrooms with twin beds and en-suite bathrooms. The rooms all have sea views and are fitted with air-conditioning, TVs with DStv and safes.

We have as a sparkling swimming pool and private garden. There is a full breakfast with cereals and yogurt served every morning, and we are able to arrange self-catering with the arrangement of kitchen times. On request we are able to provide dinners, washing and ironing. We will provide an airport shuttle as well as transport to and from any venue in and around Durban on request.

Had a wonderful stay at Phumula by the Sea. Gerda is a wonderful host and will go out of her way for her guests. I would definitely go back. Highly recommended!

Very hospital hosts that do their very best to make you feel welcome. Almost luxarious rooms. A pity it just was a stopover on the way to the airport. Highly recommended, not only for the low rates.
