Working farm

The farm is beautiful and a lovely place to walk around and enjoy the sunset after a day's car travel. Peter is a very friendly welcoming host. The farmhouse is 172 years old, rustic and comfortable. All one's needs are met but if you want cotton sheets and mod-cons this is not the place for you. We would definitely stay again if we travelled that way.

We really enjoyed our one-night stay at Peter's Place! Old fashioned charm, and so comfortable. Hospitality was great - nothing to beat sitting around the fire under starry skies and chatting. The setting is lovely, you feel so remote and close to nature. Thank you for making our stay so special, Peter!
A peaceful retreat

Great place to stay - off the beaten track and with a welcoming feeling. Peter made the stay special by having a braai which included the owner/farmer in his 80s and some local friends. There isn't anywhere local to eat out so it made a great way to spend the evening. All our needs were met with warmth and friendliness.

Rustic charm in a fabulous setting among the boulders of the Kamiesberg. We received a warm welcome and great hospitality from the two Peters. Highly recommended for those who can do without TV for a night!
