Inhambane Terra de Boa Gente, land of the good people, was one of the first trading posts of Mozambique in the early 11th century and is known for its rustic Colonial architecture which can be seen throughout the town. The town of Inhambane has one of the largest working fleets of dhows on the East African coastline, offering tourists and locals alike access to the town of Maxixe.

Pensão Pachiça is located 300 metres from the port on the picturesque bay of Inhambane, a small town that boasts a vibrant night life. Looking out from the restaurant and upper deck, the panoramic view of the bay captures the beauty and essence of the Mozambican way of life. Pensau Pachica is just a five-minute walk from the centre of town and 10 minutes away from the bus stop and local market.

Accommodation ranges from a twin family room with en-suite bathroom to backpackers dormitories and double rooms. All of our rooms also offer mosquito nets and bedding. Our on-site bar and restaurant caters for all tastes, with fresh fish, prawns, calamari and pizzas, including the well sought-after traditional Mozambican cuisine.

Activities available at Pensau Pachica include snorkelling, diving, fishing charters, sunset cruises, massages, and town tours. We can also arrange day trips to Tofo, Barra and Maxixe and offer assisted information on holidays to Inhambane. Transfers to our campsites in Tonfinia and Barra can be provided and we offer a shuttle service from South Africa to Mozambique for group tours.
