Wonderful stay,04 October 2007
We had a wonderful stay at the Penny Farthing guest house, rooms are lovely and the food excellent. It is a very friendly and welcoming place. Foy the owner does the battlefields tour which we did and strongly recommend this to anyone who stays there as without his great knowledge we would have not had a clue.

Interesting accommodation with a great atmosphere,20 August 2005
When you reach Penny Farthing you immediately notice the beautifully kept garden, bursting with flowers, which was an excellent introduction.
We didn't stay in the main house, but in a converted fort dating from the time of the Zulu wars. It was comfortably furnished, contained all required amenities (shower, toilet, etc.) and had great character.
