Penguins House is a large double-story, self-catering family home in Private Nature Reserve on the Cape West Coast. We have three double and one single bedroom, two bathrooms, patio and an open plan lounge/kitchen, all with stunning sea views.

This welcoming home offers you peace and tranquillity to unwind from the stress of your busy daily routine. Grotto Bay is an ideal get-away for those Nature Lovers who prefer not to travel too far. We are 30 km from Melkbosstrand where you can purchase all your daily requirements or visit several restaurants The Cape Town Waterfront is only 60km away.

Stroll to the, almost private beach or take the trail to the Long Beach and look out for the buck or tortoises among the Fynbos on the way. Bring your small pet with you, but we regret, no cats are allowed in the reserve. If you visit in September, you will be able to experience our magnificent show of wild flowers.

Watch the sun go down over the sea while you sip your sun-downer and socialise with your friends as you cook on the large portable braai or Weber. Compact DStv is available or full DStv by arrangement.

Out of season rates for only R900 per day for the house for two persons, R1200 per day for four persons and R1500 per day for six to seven persons. In season rates, December to end April on application.

Pet Policy: Pets stay free but a maximum of two small to medium dogs only. Bring your own pets bedding and bowls. Dogs not allowed on beds and furniture and must be flea and tick free on arrival. Fully enclosed garden but dogs must be leashed when off the premises.
