This was our best Christmas.

Our stay at Peaceful Hide was wonderful. The house was clean and well equipped. We saw tons of animals at the house. I especially appreciated the extras, insect repellents, detergents and ointments. I will definitely visit again.

enjoyed our stay

- house is big enough to accommodate a family of 5 with ease. We found everything in working order - the only disappointment was the splash pool which was empty and dirty on our arrival and took 3 hours to clean and fill in order to use. Will definitely stay at Peaceful hide again in future.

Wonderful stay at Peaceful Hide

It is very neat and everything was there that we needed for our stay. The morning we left four zebras came to the house were we fed them. Where else can you experience nature like that. Will definitely stay there again.

Description

Marloth Park is a Nature Conservancy adjoining the Crocodile River and the Kruger National Park. There are no fences within the conservancy and it is recommended that you do not walk around after sunset as predators have been known to enter the conservancy from the adjoining Kruger National Park.

Peaceful Hide is a fully furnished self-catering house with electricity situated on the main tar road close to two water holes. The house sleeps 8 in four bedrooms with two bathrooms (Water heated by electricity), built-in-cupboards and a secure upstairs braai (barbeque) patio. All rooms have fans and there is an air conditioner in the main living area. There is a separate braai (barbeque) for use downstairs by the dip pool. Features include: Secure braai /barbeque patio upstairs with a gas braai. Air conditioned main living quarters. 24 hr Monitored alarm. A dip pool covered with a shade net, with safety net and outside braai (barbeque) area. There is an outside area set aside for making a small bonfire. Inside there are books; a dartboard with darts and a fingerboard are available. Star gazing is a must in this sparsely populated area.

Peaceful Hide is within easy walking distance from the Crocodile River overlooking the Kruger National Park (700 – 900m). The main hide is about 1.8km away and there is a walking trail next to the river with frequent benches for rest stops, alternatively bring your mountain bike for a cycle through nature. Please be inside or in a car by dark as lion, cheetah and leopards have occasionally been spotted in the park. (Two people were mauled in 2008 by a sick leopard that they approached too closely)

Marloth Park is a beautiful area to cycle, especially along the sand roads next to the river. Peaceful Hide is within 20km of Crocodile bridge gate to the Kruger National Park. Access to Lion Spruit game farm, where there are some lion , is close by and the lion can be heard most nights from either the lion farm or from the game reserve.. The main upstairs bedroom has its own private balcony and an additional bed if needed. There is a DVD player and DSTV easy-view (not full DSTV) and some DVD titles.

Please note: Rates are based on two people sharing. Thereafter please allow R40-R55 per person per day, depending on season (Children R30) to cover extra wear-and-tear and utilities. Please request a quote for an accurate price.
