Papaya Garden is situated in the exquisite Diani Beach in Kenya, making it the ideal location for anyone looking for a relaxing, sunshine-filled beach holiday in a lush location, far away from overcrowded hotel. It is just 10 minutes away from quiet and recluse white sand beaches. Papaya Garden is the ideal indulgent gateway for families, couples and singles alike.

Our cottages offer amenities and are near local attractions so visitors can choose their vacation experience, whether it be relaxing or invigorating. If you are looking for an affordable and relaxing holiday that is not the normal run-of-the-mill experience, then Papaya Garden is for you.

Our villa compound is a tropical paradise. The entire acre plot is surrounded by a bougainvillea-covered wall. The garden is carefully looked after and you will find a dazzling display of beautiful, fragrant exotic flowers, bananas, papayas and passion fruits which visitors are free to sample straight from the trees. At the centre of the compound is a salt water swimming pool. We warmly welcome families with children and for your peace of mind you will stay in a villa with a fenced swimming pool.

There are two, fully furnished villas for visitors to stay in at Papaya Garden. The villas are named Dora and Holly and are both built with coral stone in the local Swahili style and have palm thatched roofs. Each villa can sleep up to six people comfortably. Both of the villas have an upper and lower level. On the lower floor are two bedrooms with king-size beds and one of the bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom. The upper floor also features a bedroom with a king-size bed and baby cot. All of the beds have mosquito nets and all rooms have a verandah and ceiling fans. All of the bathrooms have walk-in showers that making them fully wheelchair accessible. Each fully equipped kitchen features a gas cooker, oven, fridge-freezer, coffee maker, toaster and a microwave. Sufficient kitchen utensils are available and a chef can be arranged at a reasonable rate. Our cook will be happy to cook sumptuous meals and can also take care of your daily shopping.

We can also organise excursions to Shimba Hills, Shimoni Caves, Wasini Island mangroves and the Kisite - Mpunguti National Park. While the Papaya Garden staff officially work from 8 to 5 pm, assistance can be arranged for those that require something extra. This is because our staff, a housekeeper, pool attendant and gardener remain on site in separate lodgings, 24 hours a day. This way they are available to assist you with anything you need during your stay.
