Description

Oxford Cottage is a charming Victorian-style cottage, which has been beautifully restored and decorated. The property is situated in Wynberg, in a quiet cul-de-sac, and it is within walking distance of Chelsea Village which is noted for its pretty thatched cottages and historic buildings. This bed and breakfast is the perfect place to base yourself and to explore what the Western Cape has to offer.

The cottage offers three spacious and comfortable double bedrooms, which are all en-suite. One of the bedrooms has its own separate entrance and cooking facilities. All rooms have access to the swimming pool, and each is equipped with a TV, Wi-Fi, a fridge, a tea tray, a fan and a heater.

Oxford Cottage is located a mere 10-minute drive from the Constantia vineyards, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, scenic mountain walks and the oldest golf club in South Africa - the Royal Cape. The best beaches are only 20 minutes away, and located on the Indian Ocean side of the peninsula lies the quaint fishing village of Kalk Bay. A little further south you will find Simon's Town, the original naval base and Cape Point.

Oxford cottage is quietly tucked away in the suburbs of Wynberg. Maynard cottage has its own separate entrance with a - catering/B&B cottage. I was pleasantly surprised. Having travelled in Cape Town extensively, the accommodation exceeded my expectations and was definately one of the nicest self-catering/B&B's I've ever stayed at. Full marks!
