A bit about this place

Oslo Beach Lodge is situated between Port Shepstone and Shelly beach (3 kms to Shelly Shopping Centre. The original main house was a large colonial family home which we have converted into seven comfortable Rooms/Suites, each with its own entrance, patio or covered verandah, built-in braai, kitchenette and en suite bathroom. Each Room/Suite is different. Six of the seven Rooms/Suites offer fantastic sea views and sounds. The seventh room overlooks the swimming pool/entertainment area. The sizes of the Rooms/Suites vary. Three Rooms can accommodate 2 people, one of these being a romantic Honeymoon Room with a honeymoon style bath and a shower. Two of the Rooms can accommodate 3 people. The remaining two Family Suites, which each have two rooms, sleep four people each. The Rooms/Suites are serviced on a daily basis, by our friendly, trained room attendants. In addition to the Main House, we have built two timber homes, 2 x 2 bedrooms, bathroom, lounge, dining area and kitchen (semi-detached) which can accommodate 6 people each, or 12 if the two are booked together. The timber homes are situated in an elevated position in the 6550 square metre gardens and offer breath-taking breaker views of the Indian Ocean. All the Rooms/Suites and timber homes are fitted with fridge/freezer combination, microwave, stove/oven, colour TV with DSTV, comfortable dual comfort beds and overhead fans. The Lodge is graded as 3 Star by the Tourism Grading Council, and the timber homes are graded as 4 star! We are highly recommended by the AA Quality Assured Accommodation Programme! For your personal safety we have security guards on duty to ensure you, your family and your vehicle are safe at all times whilst you are on the property. Our intimate pub - Flintstones offers a beautiful sundeck on the ocean side - which is perfect for whale and dolphin spotting, a verandah room and poolside seating. Our new restaurant - Mister Larney's specialises in seafood, steaks and sea-views! Our 60-seater conference/function facility has now opened and is the perfect venue for a conference or function! There are a host of recreational activities in the vicinity: Golf (7 courses within 35 kms) horse riding, beautiful beaches, 6 cinemas, Shelly Beach Shopping Centre, scuba diving, deep sea fishing/pleasure trips, Banana Express Railway trips, surfing, whale and dolphin watching, micro light trips, hiking trails, Wild Coast Sun Casino, bird park, Crocodile Farm - the list is endless!
