Description

Onjala Lodge invites its guests with warm hospitality and homestead cuisine with a twist. Various recreational areas will invite you for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The open-sided dining and entertainment area yields sweeping views onto the Orumbungu valley, dotted by free-roaming game.

A sparkling pool with a waterfall is set in the sheltered courtyard. Another pool is perched on a hilltop presenting 360° views and spectacular sunsets. Depending on the weather, meals are served in a rustic yet tastefully decorated farm-style restaurant or under the shaded lapa.

We offer four free-standing Bungalows, each with two separate units, which are tucked away in the bush, a small distance from the main lodge. This affords increased tranquility and privacy. The units are spacious and well appointed with large en-suite bathrooms. The décor reflects the warm colours of Africa, creating a calm and restful atmosphere. The wrap-around verandah invites you to linger and take in the sights and sounds of the surrounding bush, possibly sighting an occasional warthog or antelope in the close proximity.

Built in an unconventional style, the architecture uses rough and natural stone to blend unobtrusively with the backdrop. The 11 duplex rooms in the main structure, with large sliding glass doors and small lounges, are comfortably furnished.
