New rates include all linens and towels, a fully equipped kitchen, a braai area and daily housekeeping including kitchen cleanup. The lodge features five double rooms, three of which are wheelchair friendly. Wi-Fi, a swimming pool and hiking trails are included.
Guests may either provide their own provisions or Omaha will stock the pantry in advance for a 20% commission plus fuel cost. Omaha’s new policy permits only one party to make bookings, one to five bedrooms, on specific dates, ensuring that guests have the utmost privacy during their stay. With a lovely landscaped garden, hiking trails, a swimming pool and splendid vistas of Mount Etjo on your doorstep, one can become lost in space and time; no red lights, no shops, and no petrol within 75 km. Mount Etjo is a geologically unique feature of the Namibian landscape dating to 500 million years ago. It is a “sister” mountain to the famed Waterberg Plateau National Park and the region is home to several protected wildlife species including Hartmann’s zebra, damara dik-dik, leopard, and klipspringer. Kudu, oryx, warthog, and other species inhabit Omaha at the base of the mountain. In addition, over 250 species of birds are seasonally known from the surrounding areas, including numerous waterfowl.
Omaha is conveniently located two hours northwest of Windhoek, en route to a number of Namibia's primary tourism destinations such as Etosha and Waterberg National Parks, Damaraland, Bushmanland, Kavango Region and the Caprivi Strip.
