About Olyfenbosch Cottages

Olyfenbosch Cottages are two charming historic cottages situated on a working wine farm at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains overlooking vineyards, with stunning views beyond. The cottages are close to mountain trails and nature reserves and activities on the farm include hiking, bird watching, mountain biking, swimming, and fishing in the dams.

Hartbeeshuis is a quaint renovated house comprising two luxury en-suite bedrooms, an open-plan lounge and dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen. Part of this building dates back to the mid-1800s and the unit also features three verandah areas for entertainment, one with built-in barbecue facilities.

J's Cottage is a converted wine cellar. This Victorian cottage is set under oaks and comprises two bedrooms, both with inside shutters. Both bedrooms share a spacious bathroom, complete with a shower and Victorian bath.

Please note we don't have cellphone reception on the farm, you need to go 500 m down the road to get reception.

We couldn't spend much time here as we were attending a wedding, but it was peaceful and beautiful. Thank you!

The cottage was spacious, well-equipped and lovely, in the most beautiful setting. So sad that we were only there for one night. Will definitely be back.

The only good thing about this place is the view. The cottage is outdated and not cared for; not even clean. Not recommended !!

This B&B is hard to find and after a long portion of dust road when several B&B are closer in Robertson. We found a tarantula spider in a towel when taking a shower that jumped on our hand! This was very surprising. We also found the nest of it with a lot of eggs, it could indicate that the rooms are not used often or the towel changed/checked often. The owners are very nice, the view also but for a B&B at 800 ZAR it is unusual. My wife was so shocked that she could not take breakfast and cried a while. We decided to move to another place.

We recently spent two nights at Olyfenbosch Cottages. The cottage we stayed in was comfortable and large however, it was so hot and there was no air conditioner or fan in the bedroom. The cottages were described as you could walk to other farms and this was misleading as we assumed there would be wine tasting etc. Unfortunately it was just a farm where the grapes were grown. We did not have hot water for our shower on the day we left as the geysers work with gas. The gentleman was kind enough to change gas bottles, but that didn't last long as the gas ran out.
