About Olienhout Lodge

Olienhout Lodge is a beautifully decorated lodge with exceptional views of the Vaal River and the surrounding mountains. It is situated in the Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site, a mere two hours' drive from Gauteng. It consists of three bedrooms (sleeping up to eight people) and two bathrooms. The lodge also has two braai areas as well as a fireplace for the cold winter nights. The kitchen is fully-equipped for a weekend away and all bedding and towels are provided (including electric blankets during winter).

The house is situated 100 m from the river on a mountain slope, and occasionally you can hear the call of the fish eagle.

What a wonderful place to go and charge your batteries. It was very clean, well stocked with everything you need and very quite. What more do you want. We will go back again. Thanks Cronnie.

Would love to see the place in summer! Beautiful house, outside fire, sunset, peace and quiet were awesome! We even heard jackals at night... Amazing!

What an amazing place to stay...away from the rat race, no TV, no cleaning services, just you and your family, and that is the way we wanted it to be.
