Ocean Bed

Ocean Bed is situated in Gonubie, a small village town about 15 minutes' drive from East London. Gonubie offers a bit of everything for everyone, and is known for its boardwalk that stretches from Gonubie Point to the main swimming beach, next to the Gonubie river mouth.

Along the boardwalk is a tidal pool and the most spectacular scenery, and for the bird lovers there's the Gonubie Bird Sanctuary which is home to over 160 bird species, including the crowned crane which can often be seen walking along the roads in Gonubie.

For golf enthusiasts there's the Gonubie Golf Club, and for keen anglers there's a long stretch of shore to choose from. Gonubie also offers restaurants, shops, a laundromat, and much more. Attractions include the East London Aquarium, East London Zoo, and the East London Museum which is famous for the Coelacanth.
