About Nyumbu Camp Masai Mara

Nyumbu Camp Masai Mara is an exquisite, traditional and eco-friendly seasonal camp which is tucked away in the wildebeest's migration plains, where wildlife abounds. Situated in the Ngila Plains at the edge of Masai Mara Game Reserve, the camp overlooks the hills and plains. It is erected seasonally to ensure the natural regeneration of the area during the long rains.

The camp is intimate and completely unfenced, accommodating a maximum of only 32 guests under canvas. The tents are medium-sized, fully equipped, insect-proof and custom designed. The bathrooms are en-suite and equipped with hot showers and flushing toilets. The camp is fully hosted by trained professionals from the local community.

There is no main power, however we do have a 24-hour power supply in the tents through an integrated solar system. There is an inverter system off the generator and our refrigeration uses gas and solar power. We accommodate children but adults must be aware that our camp is not fenced and no additional facilities are available to occupy them outside our normal excursions.

With simple elegance and style, you will find unsurpassed peace and tranquility with wildlife abounding at a nearby distance, in addition to a breathtaking sunset experience. The tented camp offers guests an opportunity to get closer to nature in style.
